ANALISIS TINGKAT KERUSAKAN JALAN LINGKAR SELATAN DENGAN METODE PCI (PAVEMENT CONDITION INDEX)

Abstract

The Southern Ring Road of Palembang City is a national road whose function is as a
primary arterial road. There are various types of damage that occur on the South Ring
Road of Palembang City. Therefore, this study was conducted in order to determine the
value of road damage on the Southern Ring Road segment of Palembang City (Sta
4+000 to Sta 8+000), In analyzing the damage to this road using the Pavement
Condition Index (PCI) method so that it can be used as a repair selection. In the effort
to maintain and carry out data collection, it is carried out by means of a visual survey
which is divided into 20 segments where the length of each segment is divided into 200
m. Based on the field observation survey, 8 types of damage were found on the South
Ring Road of Palembang City, namely: Holes, Patches, Longitudinal Cracks, Crocodile
Skin Cracks, Edge Cracks, Block Cracks, Wear and Grain Release. From the results of
the damage analysis using the PCI method. on the South Ring Road segment of
Palembang City for STA 4 + 000 to 8 + 000, the segment that has the most severe
pavement condition value is 11% which is included in the Very Poor (VERY POOR)
category. And the segment that has the highest Pavement Condition Value is 81%
which is included in the Very Good (VERY GOOD) category. The overall result of the
PCI value on the Palembang South Ring Road section is 49.9%. Based on the
classification of the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, the road quality on the
Palembang South Ring Road segment STA 4+000 to 8+000 is at the Medium level
(FAIR). ).
