Abstract

In this research of concrete using a mixture of fibers, it aims to determine the ratio of the tensile strength
of normal concrete and fiber concrete. The cylinder diameter is 150 mm and the height is 300 mm. There are 3
variations of the addition of fibers, namely 2.5%, 5%, and 7.5%. Concrete mix planning is based on SK SNI-T-
15-1990-03 with a water-cement ratio of 0.5 and a slump range of 6-10 cm. The curing process is in accordance
with SNI-03-2493-2011. The test was carried out at the age of 28 days based on SNI 03-2491-2002. The highest
tensile strength test value was the addition of 7.5% palm fiber (3114 MPa) which was 26.9% higher than normal
concrete. This study shows that the addition of fibers increases the split tensile strength of concrete.
