Abstract

Due to the heavy traffic volume caused by vehicles passing through the intersection, conditions will get worse
along with the increase in population growth and the number of vehicles. Due to the decrease in speed, increase
in delays and queues, the performance of savings will create operational losses for road users, including
increased vehicle rates and decreased environmental quality. The purpose of this research is to determine the
traffic volume and performance of the unsignalized intersection using a method based on the PKJI 2014. From
the results of the analysis and discussion obtained the total traffic volume (Q) value is 2261,9 cur/hour,
capacity (C) value is 2600 cur/hour, degree saturation (DJ) value is 0,87, delay (T) value is 15 sec/cur and
queuing opportunity (PA) approach 30,39% - 60%. Based on the results of research obtained the value of the
degree of saturation (DJ) is 0,87 which is based on PKJI 2014, if DJ ≥ 0,85 then the intersection must be
repaired to improve the performance of the intersection.
