Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of fineness of rice husk ash as a substitute for cement on the split
tensile strength of concrete. This research was conducted at the Civil Engineering Laboratory, Campus C,
Bina Darma University. The object used in this study is the effect of fineness of rice husk ash as a cement
substitution on the split tensile strength of concrete with a percentage of 10% with fineness zones 0.1,2 and
3. The results of research and analysis for the addition of ASP as a substitute for cement in concrete 1. The
more High Fineness Level The addition of 10% ASP to the concrete mixture will increase the value of the
split tensile strength of the concrete in each zone. But it decreases against normal concrete. The value of
the split tensile strength of concrete on the substitution of ASP in cement was obtained at zones 0.1,2 and
3. The value in zone 3 at 28 days of age was close to the value of normal concrete with a value of 1.90 Mpa.
The addition of ASP to the concrete mix can save the use of cement and will increase the economic value
of concrete production
