Abstract

This research was conducted to see how big the influence of production control at PT
Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. This study uses the economic production quantity research
method to calculate production planning. Data collection is done in three ways, namely
the collection of production data, product demand data, and product sales data. The data
processing technique used is forecasting using the moving average method and linear
regression, the second using the economic production quantity method, the third
determining the safety stock, and the last determining the reorder point. The results of
data analysis in this study indicate that the right amount of production can reduce costs
incurred by the company. The economic production quantity method can optimize the
amount of production produced through, among other things, the amount of fertilizer
production calculated in units (tons) per month (P), set up costs in rupiah per month. The
amount of costs incurred is calculated by the EPQ model, in order to know the amount
of costs generated and the resulting production. To achieve the amount of production,
9,976,328.42 tons of product requires a cost of Rp. 324,000,000. These costs incurred by
the company include the cost of electric power, maintenance costs (machinery) and the
company's operational costs.
