Abstract

Abstract : Geopolymer Concrete is an alternative material to replace cement that is considered less
environmentally friendly in making concrete. This is because during the process of burning raw
materials to produce 1 ton of cement releases 1 ton of CO2 gas directly into the air. Geopolymer
concrete is made without the use of cement as a binder, but instead it uses fly ash as a result of waste
from coal waste combustion, fly ash contains silica and aluminum which reacts chemically with
alkaline liquids at a certain temperature to form mixed materials that have properties like cement. In
this study testing the compressive strength of geopolymer mortar against a cube-shaped test object
measuring 5x5x5 cm
3
and testing the compressive strength at the age of concrete 7, 14, and 28 days.
With a mixture of fly ash (fly ash) which is divided into several fly ash zones according to the level of
smoothness of fly ash, namely zones 0, 1, 2 and 3, by varying the material added by SuperPlasticizer
activator by 0%, 0.5%, 0.6%, 0.7 % added with potassium hydroxide. In this study the use of Flyash is
very influential on the compressive strength produced, namely by using the most delicate Flyash,
obtained the maximum concrete compressive strength in zone 3 with a variation of SuperPlasticizer
0.7% at 28 days at 38 Mpa.
