Abstract

Asphalt ensures the binding material in the asphalt mixture which is used as a surface layer for flexible pavement layers. Indonesia with its natural products from coal mining which is one of the materials that can be used as fuel in a steam power plant (PLTU). By going through a fairly large and long process, the coal is processed, producing two wastes, namely fly ash and bottom ash. Where can reduce pollution from the waste. In this study the use of bottom ash and fly ash using filler of 100%. This study aims to determine the effect of a mixture of bottom ash and fly ash on asphalt. This study uses the Marshall method. So the results of this study are: (1) The highest Stability value with 100% Fly Ash filler content is 1340.310 kg and the lowest value is obtained at 100% Bottom Ash filler of 1111.047 kg. (2) Flow value that meets specifications only at filler content of 100% Fly Ash, 60%F + 40%B, 100% Bottom Ash that meets requirements (3) VIM value that meets specifications on filler content (100% Fly Ash, 80 % F + 20% B, 60% F + 40% B , 20% F + 80% B, 100% Bottom Ash) (4) The VMA value has met all specifications, the highest value with 100% Fly Ash filler content with a value of 16,958 % and the lowest value was obtained at 80%B + 20%B and 20%F + 80%B filler with a value of 16.503%. (5) The value of VFA has met all specifications, the highest value with filler 80%B + 20% B and 20%F + 20%B with a value of 84.730% and the lowest value obtained by filler 100% Bottom Ash with a value of 83.717%. (6) The Marshall Quotient value has met all specifications, the highest value with 100% Fly Ash filler content with a value of 321,689 Kg/mm and the lowest value obtained with 100% Bottom Ash filler with a value of 267,560 Kg/mm.
