ANALISIS FAKTOR PENYEBAB KEMACETAN ARUS LALU LINTAS DI JALAN YOS SUDARSO KOTA PALEMBANG

Abstract

Congestion occurs a lot in big cities. One of the locations where traffic jams often occur is on Jalan Yos Sudarso, Palembang City. This location is a road traversed by trailer cars that pass towards the port of Boombaru and vice versa. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that cause congestion, side barriers and also LHR on Yos Sudarso Street, Palembang City.
This type of research is a survey using a quantitative descriptive method with a percentage. The time of the research was 1 week, the research location was on the Yos Sudarso highway and was divided into 2 segments or 2 research points.
The results of this study are factors that cause traffic congestion on Jalan Yos Sudarso, Palembang City, namely road factors consisting of road width, vehicle volume, Lemabang market activities, traders who sell on the shoulder of the road, parking attendants who use the shoulder of the road, public transportation that pick up and drop off passengers, as well as large cars that pass on Yos Sudarso Street towards the port of Boombaru. The length of the road is 650 m, the type of road is 4/2 divided, the road width is 3 m, the road media is 25 cm, the road shoulder is 0.5 m. The highest number of passing vehicles is in segment 1 on Monday at 13.00-14.00 with the number of vehicles being 3315 vehicles/hour. The highest number of passing vehicles is in segment 2 on Mondays at 16.00-17.00 with the number of vehicles being 3357 vehicles/hour. Side barriers in segment 1 are highest on Monday, which is 353 hr/hour, and for segment 2, the highest on Monday is 364 hr/hour. The average travel time in segment 1 is 28 km/hour and in segment 2 the average is 25 km/hour.
