ANALISIS KUANTITATIF PERGERAKAN SEDIMEN DI DASAR SUNGAI BUAH
Abstract
Sungai Buah is a drainage system in Palembang that is always flooded every year. Sungai Buah has a main river length of 7.93 km, there are many turns, and has been permanently toured along the river. Sungai Buah Watershed with an area of 8.46 km² is generally a residential, industrial and swampy area. Sediment is the result of the process of erosion, both due to surface erosion, trench erosion, and cliff avalanches. The rate of sediment is the amount of soil and parts of the soil that are cleared by water from a place that experiences erosion in a watershed and into rivers or bodies of water. Therefore, this study is needed to find out the amount of the average speed of flow, flow discharge and the total bed load of sediment that occurs in Sungai Buah Watershed. In analyzing average speed and flow discharge using empirical methods while for analysis the magnitude of total bed load using the Meyer-Peter Muller method, Einstein Method, and Frijlink Method. After analysis using empirical methods, the average flow speed is 3.96 m/sec and the flow discharge is 14.92 m3/sec. While using the Meyer-Peter Muller, Einstein, and Frijlink method obtained a total bed load of sediment per day on Sungai Buah (Tb Meyer-Peter Muller = 10.21 m3/day, Einstein Tb = 11.66 m3/day, Frijlink Tb = 9.33 m3/day), per month (Meyer-Peter Muller Tb = 306.30 m3/month, Tb Einstein = 349.80 m3/month, Frijlink Tb = 279.90 m3/month), annually (Meyer-Peter Muller Tb = 3726.65 m3/year, Tb Einstein = 4255.90 m3/year, Tb Frijlink = 3405.45 m3/year).
