PROTOTYPE ALAT MONITORING BERAT DAN DIMENSI BARANG PADA KABIN PESAWAT BERBASIS MIKROKONTROLER ARDUINO MEGA 2560
Abstract
When traveling using an airline, we usually take measurements to be placed in the cabin or aircraft baggage. There are two types of baggage storage on air airlines, namely cabin baggage and checked baggage. Cabin baggage is baggage where the goods are carried by the passenger to the plane while the checked baggage is the passenger entrusts the goods to the airline. To get into cabin baggage, luggage must go through a process of measuring dimensions and weight according to the standards set by each airline. For gauges at the airport, they still use manual tools whose function is only to find out the placement of goods and their weight, with a box-shaped tool under which there is a kilogram scale. To facilitate the work of the officers involved in measuring the dimensions and weight of the goods, a tool is made to measure the dimensions, weight, capacity of the cabin, the total amount of weight that enters the cabin and the number of items that enter each cabin. This tool uses a Load cell sensor as a measure of the weight of the goods and the HC-SR04 sensor as a measure of the dimensions of the goods, where the measurement results will immediately appear on the LCD. The results of the tool test are that the response time of the LCD display to display process information takes an average of 6.7 seconds to display on the LCD. Thus this tool can be applied at the airport.
