Abstract

Berkat Sawit Sukamaju is a company engaged in processing fresh fruit bunches into crude palm oil. PT.Berkat Sawit Sukamaju, they often experience problems in the supply of raw materials where there is often an excess. Excess inventory will cause the accumulation of raw materials so that raw materials accumulate and rot, increase working hours (overtime), and increase storage costs. This study aims to conduct research on the control of palm oil raw materials using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) is a method that can determine the amount of raw material needs, determine the optimal number of orders, and the company can determine the reorder point (reorder point) so that the purchase of raw materials becomes more economical and optimal. By conducting research using the EOQ method, the company can save expenses for purchasing raw materials, and the company can plan when to place an order, calculate the amount of safety raw materials and the frequency of purchases in one period..
