ANALISIS KELAYAKAN PENGEMBANGAN USAHA BIBIT KARET DI CV. GOTAMA BANYUASIN PALEMBANG DI TINJAU DARI ASPEK EKONOMI

Abstract

Rubber plants originated from Brazil and entered Indonesia in 1876. Natural rubber can be obtained by tapping the stems of rubber plants. Rubber plants are tropical plants that develop well in the zones of 15° South Latitude and 15° North Latitude with rainfall of not less than 2000 ml per year. This plant grows optimally at an altitude of 200m above sea level. The growth temperature is between 25-35°C with an optimal temperature of 28°C. cv. Gotama is located on Jalan Palembang – Betung km 35 Sumbawa. Around Cv. Gotama has many competitors in the nursery sector, such as PT Sawit Mas Sejahtera, PT Melani Est and PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII. The high level of competition is one of the obstacles that must be faced by the company. cv. Gotama began to experience a decline in demand for rubber seeds in 2019 with a decrease in turnover of 40%, which usually reaches 900,000,000 per year to 540,000,000 per year. And in 2020 it fell again to 45%, therefore Cv. Gotama's initiative is not only to focus on one product, namely rubber, the company is trying to add other types of nurseries such as durian seeds, oil palm, and coffee to meet consumer demand.
