Abstract
Hydroponics is a plant growing system using water media. This system is very suitable for use in areas that have limited land such as urban areas and it is possible to do so in rural areas. Lettuce plants are very suitable to be planted in areas that have light intensity that is not too high, such as mountainous areas. High sunlight intensity affects the air temperature around the plant. Besides being able to cause lettuce plants to quickly wither, high temperatures can also cause the evaporation of hydroponic nutrient water to be high so that the nutrient water will run out quickly. By utilizing ultrasonic sensors, light sensors (LDR), and mamdani fuzzy logic inference on the Arduino UNO, it will regulate the availability of water in the main tub of nutrient water storage and adjust the roof to reduce exposure to high light intensity on plants..
