Abstract

The leak of LPG cylinder can bring about explosion and fire, in order to minimize the occurrence of explosion and fire it is  be able tobe  detected by using a gas sensor. Moreover, to prevent the excessive smoke  which can endanger respiratory or  fire  caused by negligence when cooking a smoke sensor can be used. Based on these two incidents a divice was made on purpose of detecting smoke and gas leak so that fire can be prevented. The divice used the Arduino Uno ware as the main control and in case of gas leak detection it used the MQ-6 sensor while to detect the presence of smoke the MQ-7 sensor is utilized. The objective of creating the divice was to reduce the risk of fire and explosion of gas cylinder caused by leaking and cooking activities. So that it could reduce the occurrence of fire due to LPG in everyday life. This tool serves to detect the  excessive smoke and  gas leak that can dangerous when cooking by activating the buzzer and exhaust fan.
