Abstract

Quality is the main factor that can improve the competitiveness of a product. With the increase in quality, the production costs will be smaller, reducing waste. PT. indofood is a company engaged in the production of instant noodles where currently the size of defects can affect the quality of instant noodles. To maintain the quality of products produced and in accordance with market requirements, it is necessary to do quality control. Therefore it is necessary to do research with the six sigma method. Based on the results of data processing the results of the total production of 4,207,290 pcs in the month of 2017 with the lowest dpmo (defect per milion opportunity) value of 4487 with the value of sigma 4.2 and the largest dpmo value of 7819 with the value of sigma 3.9
