Abstract

Bucket Wheel Excavators (BWE) are heavy equipment that are used to dredge coal alternately. This system is effective if all the engine units used in the mining process operate properly and optimally according to the design and capacity of the equipment. One method used to reduce these constraints is the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system through analysis of cause and effect diagrams. The comparison of OEE data between 2008 and 2018 was 41.97% and 36.34% for 2018. After the implementation of the TPM there was a decrease in OEE value of 5.63%. The decrease in OEE value is caused by damage that often occurs so that there are obstacles in the reliability level of the unit due to oversized dumping truck material so that it enters the conveyor line during excavation. tools and outside of the above which are the main causes are changes in production targets.
