PENERAPAN METODE LEAST SQUARE UNTUK PREDIKSI HASIL PENJUALAN STUDI KASUS : PERCETAKAN HIDAYATULLAH (HD)

Abstract

Hidayatullah Printing (HD) is a company engaged in printing in South Sumatra. The company is experiencing an increase in sales for each month. In this regard, it is necessary to predict the number of sales in the coming period. Prediction (forecasting) is forecasting what will happen in the future, while planning is a determination of what will be done at the time that will be done. Almost everyone makes predictions, be it the government, businessmen, or ordinary people. The Least Square method can be used to forecast sales, because this method is one of the techniques in compiling sales forecasts by minimizing the criterion function of the number of squares of prediction errors. The Least Square method is an analytical method aimed at forecasting the future by determining the equation of the data trend which includes Time Series analysis with two cases, namely the case of even and odd data. The results of this study are the prediction results from the predicted year, namely 2022 with sales of 10720 products and in 2023 with sales of 7560 products, which can later be used as a reference for sales preparation for that year and so on.
