ANALISA EFEKTIFITAS DAN KELAYAKAN JEMBATAN PENYEBERANGAN ORANG (JPO) MASJID AGUNG DI KOTA PALEMBANG

Abstract

The Masjid Agung Crossing Bridge located in the city of Palembang has sufficiently fulfill the standard provisions by the Ministry of Public Works in the book "Procedures for Planning Pedestrian Crossing Bridges in Cities." In 1995[1]. The busy hours in the middle day are the summit times for users road to crossing activities. Either by using an alternative Bridge Crossing or directly on the road with an effectiveness percentage of 54.23%. This research used quantitative variables or characteristics quoted from John J. Fruin, then the process of analysis of these quantitative variables used data collection methods which were then analyzed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method introduced by Thomas L. Saaty, to be able to measure degree of favor or interest or feeling (discrete). The factors that are qualitative, then getting a ratio of things that are initially difficult to measure such as likes, interests and feelings. Safety factors are indeed the main factors that are noticed and considered important for road users. However, improvements in aesthetics, security and additional facilities are also adequate. an important factor can be increased so the users are more interested and feel comfortable when crossing the Bridge. Especially , the characteristics of road users mostly women in the age range of 17 to 25 years.
