PENGEMBANGAN PENGEMBANGAN JARINGAN KOMPUTER DENGAN KONSEP WIRELESS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM DINAS PERPUSTAKAAN KABUPATEN LAHAT

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the use of internet networks seems inseparable from our daily lives even when looking for knowledge and insight, paper media seems outdated with leptops or handfuls of gadged and our internet network can open a window to the world. However, there are not many places that provide internet access for free and are connected smoothly even in places to access information such as libraries which only provide access to a few computers, especially the WIFI (wireless) network which is only sufficient for employees. This problem can be solved by rearranging a more efficient computer network, with a wider internet network and more optimal performance by adding the concept of a Wireless Distribution System (WDS) to the new design. In this study, the Wireless Distribution System is used to expand the reach of a WIFI network by using two or more Access Points. With this WDS technique, the use of cables as a network backbone is not needed, making it easier, cheaper and more efficient to install.
